A section of the newly elected University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA) leadership paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Finance, Planning and Development, Prof. Josiah Aduda, on July 3, 2026, marking the beginning of a collaborative working relationship between the University's management and the new student leadership.

In a special sitting of the University of Nairobi Council, held on May 14, 2026, Prof Josiah Omollo Aduda was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Finance, Planning and Development (FPD), further strengthening the University’s substantive leadership team as the institution accelerates governance, financial sustainability, infrastructure modernization and strategic transformation initiatives.
