University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi has allayed fears that some staff members will be retrenched as published in sections on the media as talks on University mergers rages on. He was speaking during the Finance Department capacity building held on June 21, 2019 at the Central Catering Unit.
On Friday, July 5th, 2019 Prof. Peter Mbithi officially handed over office to the acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Mbeche.
Prof. Mbithi handed over the instruments of power including the mace, emblem, constitution, the act, the charter, the seals and walked Prof. Mbeche through the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
The University held a Risk Management Workshop at the Central Catering Unit (CCU) on July 31, 2026. The workshop brought together the University's leadership and key administrators to strengthen institutional resilience through proactive risk management.
