The Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Mbeche met with all the University’s Web Champions on Friday December 6, 2019 at the Central Catering Unit.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Mbeche, noted that the team has been faithfully executing its mandate and he urged the team to put more effort in being the champions of their schools and departments to enhance the University’s visibility.

The VC also pledged to sit with council and establish a structure that will recognize all the communication officers and reward them according to their career interests.

On his part, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Julius Ogeng’o urged all the web champions towards the set targets and make sure that they are achieved if not surpassed.

The interactive meeting saw the Vice Chancellor take some comments from members of staff and the challenges encountered in their different spaces.

The Ag. Director ICT, Mr. Paul Kariuki and the Deputy Director, MIS, Dr. Caroline Chepkoech retrained the web champions based on the redesigned website and took them through the website policy, and shared an updated work plan for the websites.
