University of Nairobi Reform Agenda 2020'

The Vice Chancellor in his address to the University Community shared the 'University of Nairobi Reform Agenda 2020'.  Agenda number Four is on Financial reforms aimed at addressing the following: Participatory budget formulation and management mechanisms; Efficient fiscal and budgetary discipline; Enhanced financial prudence; Re-engineer grants management to effectively support research and Commercialization of our intangible assets.

Part of the reform agenda deals with transparency, accountability and openness in the manner in which university financial and other resources are managed.

In this regard, this is to inform you that the following documents have now been uploaded on University of Nairobi Intranet for your perusal:

 

i) Quarter 1 Financial Reports FY 2020/2021

ii) Quarterly PC report FY 2020/2021

iii) Procurement Reports for 2019/2020 and Quarter 1 2020/2021 FYs (kindly note the procurement plan and list of prequalified suppliers are on the Procurement website)

iv) Capitation, AIA and Payroll data for Quarter 1-2020/2021

 

In addition to the above, College Principals have been requested to set up Budget Implementation Committees with immediate effect to monitor, advise and manage budgets efficiently and in a participatory manner.
