The leadership of the University of Nairobi on Friday, July 31, 2026, visited the residence of the late Dr Vijoo Rattansi, former Chancellor of the University, to convey the institution's heartfelt condolences to her family following her passing.

The University delegation was led by the Chairperson of the University Council, Prof. Chacha Nyaigotti-Chacha and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eng. Ayub N. Gitau. They were accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance, Planning and Development), Prof. Josiah Aduda, together with other members of the University staff.
