Our role is to promote and support effective organizational governance by providing oversight of risk and control process administered by management.

The current Procurement Department was established in 2003 when it became mandatory that each Public Procuring entity should have a separate procurement unit. Before then some Procurement function used to be discharged by the tender office that was under Personnel while the rest was carried out by Finance Department.

The Planning Department, although located in the Vice-Chancellor’s office, cuts across other key university administrative units such as the office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Finance) and that of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) among others. It boasts of taking a leading role in the enhancement of university’s visibility in community functions and the promotion of its image both locally and internationally through publicity in various publications.
