UoN’s ESC Innovation Pillar Charts New Path with Business Model for Sustainable Impact

The Engineering and Science Complex (ESC) Innovation Pillar has taken a major step in strengthening innovation at the University of Nairobi by hosting a three-day workshop from September 22nd to 24th, 2025, in Naivasha. The forum focused on designing an Innovation Business Model to guide the operations of the Innovation Community of Excellence (CoE) and inform the business approach of other ESC CoEs.

The University of Nairobi held a flag-off ceremony on September 5, 2025, for students departing for China under the 2025 Confucius Institute Scholarship at the Confucius Institute. The students, drawn from the Faculties of Arts and Education, form the pioneer cohort of the 2+2 Joint Program for International Chinese Language Education Scholarship in Kenya.

Digital Land Governance Programme Advances Through Donation from FAO

The University of Nairobi’s Faculty of Law received a significant boost on August 11, 2025, with the handing over of state-of-the-art digital audio-visual equipment donated by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations. The equipment is set to enhance the Digital Land Governance Programme, hosted at the Faculty’s Parklands Campus.
