International Collaboration Strengthened as IUEC Delegation Calls on the DVC

The University of Nairobi on May 21, 2026, hosted a delegation from the Evangelical University Institute of Cameroon (IUEC) during a courtesy call on the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Finance, Planning and Development, Prof. Josiah Aduda.

The delegation was led by the Vice-Chancellor of IUEC, Prof. Jules-Roger Kuiate and visited the University to reaffirm and strengthen the growing partnership between the two institutions.

Prof Aduda Takes the Mantle as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance, Planning and Development

In a special sitting of the University of Nairobi Council, held on May 14, 2026, Prof Josiah Omollo Aduda was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Finance, Planning and Development (FPD), further strengthening the University’s substantive leadership team as the institution accelerates governance, financial sustainability, infrastructure modernization and strategic transformation initiatives.

UoN Receives Boost for Student Support

The University of Nairobi, on January 21, 2026, received a KES 2 million donation from the Chinese Property Developer Association (Kenya) during a cheque handover ceremony held at the University.

The cheques were presented by Ms Wen Hui on behalf of the Association’s Chairman, Mr Zhang Jiaping, and formally received for the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Jesang Hutchinson, by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance, Planning and Development, Prof. Jackson Maalu.

Commitment reaffirmations as UoN Hosts International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week

The University of Nairobi hosted the culmination of the 13th International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week of Action on October 24, 2025, at the Chiromo Campus, under the global theme “No Safe Level—Act Now to End Exposure.”
