Officials of the University Academic Staff Union (UASU) – University of Nairobi Chapter, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance, Planning and Development), Prof. Josiah Aduda and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Human Resource and Administration), Prof. Leonidah Kerubo, on July 30, 2026. The purpose of the call was to discuss matters affecting members of staff and strengthen collaboration between the University management and the Union.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the UASU leadership and the Deputy Vice-Chancellors to engage in constructive discussions on issues of mutual interest relating to staff welfare and the continued progress of the University.
During the meeting, the UASU officials expressed their appreciation to Prof Aduda and Prof Kerubo for their dedication and commitment to advancing the University's strategic goals while supporting the welfare of members of staff. They commended the two Deputy Vice-Chancellors for their leadership and efforts in fostering a conducive working environment.
The discussions were held in a cordial and collaborative atmosphere, underscoring the shared commitment of the University management and the Union to maintaining open dialogue in addressing matters affecting staff.
The UASU officials also reaffirmed the Union's commitment to working closely with the University leadership and pledged their continued support in promoting the growth, stability and long-term success of the University of Nairobi.
